A hybrid breed that is part of the Isa Brown family, the Amberlink is also a great large brown egg producer. Great as a forager, they are great for a backyard flock!

A hybrid breed developed for high egg production and large brown eggs. The eggs are indistinguishable from the Isa Brown egg, however, the Amberlink is somewhat of a better forager and more adaptive to a non-cage lifestyle. They have great feather retention.

Ordered 30 pullets in 2018, received 30 chicks at the end of February, two of which turned out to be cockerels. Only lost one chick shortly after arrival. The 27 pullets are great layers and great foragers. A few started laying mid-June and by mid-July all 27 were laying. I’m getting 24-27 eggs a day now in the beginning of January. I am ordering more of this breed this year. I’m very pleased with them.

We have first received Amberlink pullets when we ordered an egg layer assortment and loved them so much last year we purchased 4 more! They were our only birds that laid consistently year-round despite the cold this winter also. Beautiful dark eggs.
The only issue we’ve had is that they are a bit flighty but we can deal with that!
